About me
I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, in Canada with Bachelors of Fine Arts and Education degrees. My art career began as a high school art and pottery teacher. Later, I pursued my passion for clay by studying ceramics and attaining a Ceramics diploma at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. I have marketed my art and craft across Western Canada since that time. I have participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions and happily received a number of prominent provincial awards, including government grants and a travel grant to study architectural ceramics in Florida.
Commissioned work is welcome, particularly sculptural and slab-built wall pieces. My rural roots, meditations and travels to Asia, influence my art. I became a part-time instructor in the ceramics department at Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology. Currently, my mixed media and ceramics studio is in Saskatoon, SK.
